Quality in swimming education stands or falls on trust. A certificate must mean what it promises, and an assessment framework must be traceable. That is why we make our standards explicit and keep the assessment separate from commercial interest.
Verifiable
Clear, traceable criteria
Our requirements, assessment frameworks and grading methodologies are explicit and auditable. Anyone who wants to know why a certificate is awarded can read back the criteria.
This way a parent, a school or a municipality knows exactly what a certificate represents.
Independent
An assessment is never for sale
WaterZeker vouches for the method and the standard, not for a desired outcome. A favourable assessment cannot be bought — quality is kept separate from commercial interests.
We protect this independence in everything: from the design of a certification line to the delivery of an exam.

Our standards rest on applied research, evaluation and thirty years of experience in the field — with De WaterExpert as a knowledge partner.
We continuously develop our frameworks based on new insights, so they stay current and relevant.

Managing the certification system
Part of this work is carried out on behalf of the Dutch Foundation for Water & Swimming Safety: developing, managing and improving certification lines, assessment frameworks and quality standards.
We provide assessment, examination and certification insofar as the necessary authorisations and accreditations are in place.
